Hey, did you hear?

I'M ENGAGED! JENNY AND ME ARE GETTING HITCHED! I'M SO HAPPY! CAN YOU TELL BY THIS HUGE FONT? YAY!

details to follow.

Thursday, April 19, 2007

My 21st was Tuesday. It was great. Thanks to all you groins out there who wished me a good one, because it was a good one indeed.

Special thanks to Emily for the cupcakes. That was freakin' sweet. Rock on.

Uber thanks to my 'rents for some much needed cash.

Extra special thanks to Jen-Jen (with contributions from her parents) for this:

That's right, an I-Pod Nano! How sweet is that! I love that kid and I would've been happy with just the pair of MGD Boxers that her and her mom gave me as a joke. But no, she goes all out and gets me a freakin' I-Pod. I've wanted one for a while now and I've been listening to it non-stop since I got it. She's too good to me. I love you Jenny Miller.

So Saturday let's all go out to Applebee's for my b-day. You can all buy me drinks, okay? Okay, sweet deal.

Oh, and the play is sold out for all of opening weekend! And with the new paying for your tickets when you reserve them thing, that means people have to come, or they'll lose money! YAY! So that's pretty awesome. So hurry and get tickets for next Wed, Thur or Fri while they still last, or else...

My appeal for LA is going to be answered whenever Dr. Rudenga can actually stay in her office so I can reach her. Let's pray they give it the OK, or else I'm going to have to enter a war that I rather not enter right now.

Oh, and I hate classes. They suck and are stressful right now. That's all I have to say about that.

Late!

I was just kidding...

My last post was an April Fools post inspired by James' post where he said he wasn't coming back to Trinity.

I'm just realizing that it's a lot more serious sounding than exaggerated like I had hoped and now I feel like a total ass. I hope nobody hates me for this...I just wanted to make you all laugh, not worry for me.

Please accept my apology and a hug and or kiss the next time I see you. And next April Fools I think I'll just stick with whoopie cushions and blowing up all your mailboxes...um, you should probably forget that last part.

I leave anyone who thought I was for real and felt bad with this final plea. I love you...eh?

Everybody Hurts

This might come as a shock to all of you, and I much rather let all of you know face-to-face, but it's too hard for me right now so I'll just tell you here...

I don't know if I'm sticking with film or acting anymore. Lately it seems that my passion for such things is dwindling. This leads me to make the decision of not going to LA in a year and of changing my major and possibly just taking time off of school right now. I'll probably finish off this semester, but it's up in the air right now. I have to talk to John about the play and everything, because I'm not feeling into this show and that's a problem that I shouldn't burden him and my fellow actors with. On the other hand, I don't want to leave them with one actor short. I don't know. This is a big decision and it has uncovered another big decision.....Jenny and I have been having some problems, it may not seem like it, but they're there. A series of these problems has lead us to believe that we shouldn't be together any longer. It's hard and it hurts, but it feels like the right move.

Just thought you all should know...

California Here We Come...

Jenny, Brenden, Laura, Jake, Rachel, Keith and I leave for LA in like, literally 12 hours from now. We've rented a sweet mini-van (much newer than mine) and we're driving straight through to the West Coast. I'm honestly pooping myself with excitement. Okay, maybe pooping is a bit much, but I'm pumped! I loved last years road trip to Boston and that wasn't nearly as far as LA will be. That 26 hour drive is going to be phenomenal. I hope one of us kills another one of us by the end, 'cause that'd sure make for a great story. Here's our itinerary for anyone who gives a crap:

Day 1-Depart. Drive through the night.
Day 2-Arrive at Las Vegas, Nevada @ around 7 PM Western time. Meet Pete there.
Day 3-Go crazy, Vegas style. Remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...unless I post it on here.
Day 4-Leave Vegas, head for LA. Chill in LA. Maybe check out Mann's Chinese Theatre, Walk O' Fame, etc.
Day 5-Go crazy, LA style.
Day 6-Beachin' it up in Cali. Dude. Awesome.
Day 7-Visit one of Pete's classes. Maybe hit up 'CityWalk' at Universal Studios? Who knows?
Day 8-Say our farewells to Pete. Do any last minute stuff in LA. Head for home.
Day 9-Arrive safely back in IL. Return rental car. Pass out. Cry 'cause it's all over.

So there it is, Spring Break, Cali-style. I'm drooling as I type about it all. Don't worry everyone, we'll bring you back something nice...maybe a hat or something...maybe.

See you all in 10 days!

-rick.
